How to stop google Play Store from updating my to phone app

My Nvidia Shield Android TV 500GB is unlock and rooted. I did have the full custom Android 1.8 rom installed and went back to stock but left bootlocker unlock and rooted. Now my box is updating the Google Play Store app the the latest version which is for the phone.

Can someone help me to stop it from updating?

It's a really funny key to push the new smaller SIM card out, so I guess the back cover does not come off? What about the memory card - did not find any slot for it?

Slow Play Store on Stock Rom(s)

So here's a weird one...

Whenever I am on any stock based Rom(T-Mobile COD6 or COG2 or the new DOG1), I get very slow image loading, listings and downloading in the Play Store and any other Google app ONLY when on my home WiFi which is Xfinity. If I'm on any AOSP/CM based of Dr.Ketan's S6 Rom, I have no issues.

I've checked a few fixes such as changing DNS address when I connect to Wifi to Google's DNS server and still the same issue. I've contacted Xfinity to see if anything on their end but it isn't because on AOSP/CM I don't have the issue at all. Here's the other catch; it doesn't happen on K.K NK4 Roms or NK4 Stock. WTF?!

Does anyone have any ideas whatsoever?

I have no paid themes in theme store

Most themes in the Theme store are childish nonsense. I don't know who gives their 5 year old daughter an expensive galaxy S6.
I would really like to see this Weyo theme but I cannot seem to find it.

I only got two categories.
recommended / all
and I can sort in popularity / time released
I can find less than 100 and the only half decent one is Material Dark.

How do you people get the paid themes?
I have a standard european unlocked S6 running newest 5.1.1, theme store version is 1.01.23
I don't understand what is going on. I would gladly pay a few bucks for a nice dark theme that actually shows some style and not pink gummi bears.

Restoring from the Play Store, how do I make it work?

I just have a general question about the PLay Store and thought maybe someone here might have a suggestion. When flashing a new ROM or resetting to factory defaults, I get one of three behaviors when logging in to Google:

1) Nothing, it logs me in and shows every app I have ever installed on any device as "Available".
2) A bunch of random stuff starts installing, most of it what I want, but a bunch I haven't had on my device in weeks sometimes. This can be 5 apps or 50, no pattern that I can figure out.
3) I get this nifty screen that lets me pick a device backup, even for other devices. It not only also lets me pick a backup date but ALSO lets me go in and further pick and choose which apps on the list that I want to restore.

#3 is what I'm looking for. I want to restore from the Play Store, not a Titanium Backup file or anything, but I can't make this consistent at all, does anyone have any luck with the Play Store being consistent? It does appear that #3 is a Lolipop feature, at least in that particular format, but once again, no consistency.

Currently the device in question is my Asus Tf700t, but I've come across this on multiple devices. I just installed Zombi Pop 5.1 RC as my ROM, but I've also had it be just as random in other ROMs. I also tell it to back up my data on install, and just double checked that it was marked as such in my settings.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, it just drives me nuts to have this supposed auto backup that never works the same way twice in a row. Apologies also if I put this on the wrong board, but this seemed appropriate.

EE UK (EVR) 5.1.1 installation of non-play store apps (unknown sources)

Since the EE Galaxy S6 firmware upgrade to 5.1.1 I have not been able to install (or update) apps from "unknown sources".
I don't use the Play store at all - I use F-Droid - so this means I cannot use F-Droid as a package management tool! :(

The "allow unknown sources" setting still exists and is enabled, but all installs or updates just hang after confirming the requested permissions...

Has anyone else noticed this problem, or might know of a way to rectify this situation?

Play Store Problem

Basically im from the UK and my network provider is EE. When i go to the playstore to purchase a item it says o2 billing and since im with EE i cannot make any purchases ive tried to remove it howevrr i was not lucky i tried to add EE still diddnt work. Can anyone give me some sort of tip and advice on what to do cause this is causing me alot of problems.

I want an a way/app that prevents/stops downloading any app from the play-store. I would like the app to stop app-download permanently. It does not ask for password for exception.

My goal is I am giving a tablet to my employees, I want the employees to focus on already-installed app by me. I want to prevent them from downloading any app out of the business.

Google play store gives white screen on rooted box.

I have noticed that all my rooted boxes now eventually go to a white screen with the google play store and it no longer will open. Is there any fix for this? I am not sure what has caused this unless mabye google play store is not compatible with the latest prerooted firmware?

twrp restore causes busybox and play store FQ

After restoring to a previous nandroid bkup, i get play services/play store FQ popups every second.
I successfully disabled them but i cant use busybox or install a new busybox. I recieve a
Generic error. Are there any logs i could upload here to get assistance? Im stuck and backups
Are restoring just as buggy... i would appreciate any ideas
