Recovery image

So, I tried to install TWRP to my phone and blew away the stock recovery image - a little shortsighted on my part, but hey - live and learn.

Can someone capture the stock recovery image and throw it up here? You'd be my hero. :D

Tmobile 5.0.2 stock boot image?

cant find the stock boot.img for tmobile 5.0.2 htc one m7? can anybody point me in the right direction.

[Q] Downgrade system image

I know it can be done, as long as you don't OTA after. If I were to downgrade to 4.4.4 or 5.0.2 with 5.1 bootloader, would that offer a software method to root and unlock or no?

Lost ADB connection after flashing recovery image

I was in the middle of unlocking the bootloader for my tablet and just finished flashing the recovery image and i have seem to lost my adb connection. I was about to sideload supersu.zip and i can no longer get my tablet to be seen in my adb window by any commands, But it can be seen in my device manager. I also cannot seem to boot into recovery mode either. Can anybody help with my problem and thank you for your time.

How Can I restore to stock image ??

Hello, I have a Sprint HTC One M9. I just have unlocked it with help from @stifilz (Thank you!)

He has asked me to Downgrade to 5.0 with Bad Boyz V1.1 Since the phone is S-ON and had version 5.1

Everything was fine, I Downgraded the version to 5.0 and he Unlocked successfully my phone. However I experienced an issue. it started powering off by itself everytime when the phone goes standby. He told me.. it's because that I have a 5.1 kernel on 5.0.2 rom that's the reason.

Indeed, when I installed the latest version of Bad Boyz which is 2.6.651.11 ( 5.1 ) the issue gone. However, I experienced another issue: it keeps telling me an error after the boot finishes: "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped"
I click OK, but it keeps showing all the time

Now, I want to restore it to stock image of 5.0.2 then update it officially to 5.1

He told me to Install this : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934554226
He also told me that there are many ways should help including to restore the system.img (4Gb+) But, he is not sure about it.

So, I thought to ask you guys ??

Thanks in advance.

Flashing factory image on verizon n6 with T-Mobile sim

The other day I bought a nexus 6 used and didn't know what carrier it was from.. Well I dug around in the settings and found out that it was Verizon. The phone worked fine with my T-Mobile sim just like it should but when I tried flashing 5.1.1 Verizon build lmy48i it just would not flash right... It would just bootloop and nexus root toolkit said everything failed to flash but the bootloader. But I tried again after taking the sim out and it worked first try. Everything is okay, but why does a sim make so much of a difference? Should I be flashing T-Mobile img's?

ROM or RUU (or stock image) for 64bit (A11) HTC Desire 510 (Telstra)

Does anybody have a *working* ROM, RUU or Nandroid backup for the Desire 510? HTC Support have been unacceptably unhelpful and none of the ROMs in here are compatible :(

"No command" shows in Recovery mode after TWRP recovery image is flashed.

I am using one Moto E 2015 4G (XT1524) European Edition, I have unlocked the bootloader, and managed to flash the TWRP recovery image via fastboot.
Before I flash the CM12.x ROM, I need to install SuperSU.zip, however, when I entered the recovery mode, only "no command" shows up, I can do nothing about this situation.

I tried to install SuperSU through Google Play Store; when I open it, it says "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it........ If you just upgraded to Android 5.0, you need to manually re-boot ...."
Following what it says, I re-booted the phone, but the SuperSU app still shows the above message when I open it.

What should I do right now? Thank you!

What parts of the Factory image do I need to install for the stagefright fix?

Im on Tmobile and am rooted and with some custom stuff and can't flash the stage fright OTA so I want to flash the Factory image to not lose data. Would anybody know what I need to flash from the factory image to get me up to date? Would it be ok to flash everything except user data? Thanks in advance!

System Image Flasher (Requires Windows PC)

I made a program that allows you to flash system images more easily. It can also unlock your bootloader if it isn't already (doesn't work on all devices). It will walk you through all of the steps, all you have to do is plug your device into your computer and enable adb debugging. All you have to do is download the system image files and do what it tells you. Download from Google Drive

Could someone make an unbrick image for me? Original link for it is down.

Well, I'm sure getting good at killing this thing.

There used to be an unbrick image up on androidfilehost.com, but the user deleted his account and it is no more. Thus, I'm up the creek ...

https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23578570567721355

As you can see, all it does is dump the first 200MB of it to a file, so you don't have to download that if you can give me the image. ;) I really don't want to have to ship this thing back and wait.

You can just cut and paste this into a terminal if that's easier:

mkdir -p /sdcard/Unbrick_Files/;
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/Unbrick_Files/200MB.img bs=4096 count=50000;
busybox gzip /sdcard/Unbrick_Files/*;
mv /sdcard/Unbrick_Files/200MB.img.gz /sdcard/Unbrick_Files/Unbrick_IMG.gz;
chmod -R 777 /sdcard/Unbrick_Files

This time I'll put it on my google drive and androidfilehost. ;)

Much appreciated. This thing really should be available for everyone.

Compiled AOSP image not booting and system partition is not mountable in recovery

I started porting Android 4.0.4 ICS AOSP to my device (HTC Desire SV) by creating a new devicetree from scratch.

I was able to compile and run the image for the emulator but the image with my devicetree isn't booting on my device (not even adb / bootanimation).
I just flashed the system.img with fastboot (first formatted it in cwm) and continued to use the old boot.img with my old kernel compiled from HTCDev.com which worked with the stock 4.0.4 ROM.

I am unable to mount the system partition in cwm after flashing the image:

Code:

W:failed to mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p25 (Invalid argument)

Formatting /system in recovery & make_ext4fs at the building steps:

Code:

Formatting /system...
Done.

Creating filesystem with parameters:

Install system fs image: out/target/product/magnids/system.img

After formatting in recovery I am able to mount /system again.

Partitions before flash:

Code:

Current BoardConfig.mk:
xttp://pastebin.com/VrdGpZrp (had to use pastebin my BoardConfig.mk content is somehow flagged by the board software)

I didn't yet include extraction of the blobs.
My plan was to be able to mount /system in recovery and to install the blobs with an update.zip until I got a booting system / adb logcat.

This is my first try at porting and I'm also pretty new to Android Roms etc.

Do these cheap ICS dongles show native 1080p image or is it upscaled?

I want to buy a very cheap, used Android TV stick for one reason only: to play 1080p video with subtitles on my HDTV. The only thing holding me back is the fear that the manufacturers aware of the limits of their hardware somehow blocked native 1080p feed and instead allow some upscaling. What is it like from your experience?
