Note 3 - No signal

For the past few weeks I have not been able to get any signal with my ATT Galaxy Note 3.

The phone reads my SIM card just fine but it just won't get any signal.
It will however get T-Mobile signal so it's pretty weird.

I have been trying to find a way to do a complete restore of the firmware but have gotten no where.


It has 4.4.4 installed so there is no update available in Kies.

Sammobile only has 4.3 available on the website so I'm not sure what the best way to restore the firmware would be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i9300 - Low WiFi signal

Hi guys,..

I need a help. My phone has very low WiFi signal. I thought it could be ROM's problem so i flashed stock ROM back > but it hasn't helped.
I checked wifi antena, i tried to put it out and run phone without that, but phone still could connect to WiFi without antenna.

I have S3 NEO (i9301) motherboard, but there is no antena like in S3. ( i wanted to change antena).

Do you have some advice for me?

No network signal - how to know is gsm Radio dead in hardware or it is software issue

I have OnePlus One with OxygenOS now, but gsm wasn't working under CM12 either, so I clean installed Oxygen and it didn't resolve issue.

Full signal but cannot make calls

Hi, i have about 1 month trying to get work a LS990 that i bought in ebay to sim unlocked and use it outside the US, i have followed every possible guide in this forum and still cannot make it work.

I am using the file replacement method with the modified files, and it works, the sim card is recognized and if i go to the network info appears the carrier network info. I get full signal but when i try to make a call, it ends immediately and appears the message "call ended".

I have tried over and over again, setting the RAT mode to automatic and Network mode to automatic, tried with ZVA,ZV8 and ZV4, same result, tried with different sim cards of different carriers also.

The bands are compatible with the carriers where i live, since i have acknowledgement of other people with this model working ok, what i am missing here?

[GUIDE] No SIM PIN request with custom lockscreen = No signal

Hello,
I've just installed some of the 3rd party lockscreen apps and what I've noticed is that when using it the phone won't ask for PIN (for SIM card), so as a result it won't connect to the mobile network.
I've managed to solve this problem and I want to share it with you, as I've seen that I'm not the only one.

For this tutorial you will need:
1)Root
2)Xposed framework
3)2 additional apps that are mentioned later

Of course during that process you may damage your device, so don't blame me.
It is highly recommended, that you have some knowledge on how to fix the phone, uninstall xposed framework etc.

Ok, so let us begin.
1) Install AppOpsXposed or any similar program that can block apps from autostart and enable it in xposed.

2)Go to AppOps, select your lockscreen app (in my case Hi Locker) and disable the autostart.

3)Finally install "Llama" from the Play Store (or any other automatation app that has similar functionality) and make a new event like this:


And btw. I've set my system lockscreen to swipe, but it's being skipped anyway.

That's it. Give it a try.

i instal a new rom then my phone didn't have annt signal and could read my simcard.
today i install a new rom to see if it maybe fix it but now my hpone only says sim card is locked or no service.
please help.

How to prevent specific apps from using data when signal is bad?

Some annoying apps use lots of mobile data when the signal is bad. Is there any tool could prevent a specific app from using data when the wifi signal isn't good?

Lg G3 D-855 Not detecting signal

Hello, My G3 suddenly did not detect the signal of my Norwegian sim card today, I tried to restart the phone and remove the sim and place it again, but it still yet not working. However, I have an Galaxy s4, so I tried to put my norwegian sim on it and it worked fine, then I tried to pt my Egyptian sim card on G3 and it worked fine too! but when I placed the norwegian sim card on G3 it didnt work!. I have been using the G3 since December 2014 with the norwegian sim card without any problem!
I would appreciate any help :D

Hello friends i am from india. I bought ls990 model from a seller , it was having kitkat rom and sim is working properly. I flashed zva rom by tot method . when it boot up it start to verify with sprint but i by passed the verification by some button combination. Now sim is not working and i am unable to access mobile network option . so what to do now ? I want to use cdma sim.

No Signal (SIM 1 stuck in CDMA Mode)

Hi All,

While trying to set "WCDMA Preffered" in engineering mode *#*#4636#*#*, I did some changes in "Select Radio Band" option.

After which phone is totally stuck in CDMA mode. I tried with all three options available in Radio Band. (US Band, PCS, Cellular) but none helped me to fix.
In engineering mode, its always showing the CDMA IMEI and not detecting any GSM signal. This problem is only with SIM1. SIM2 seems to be working fine.

Ph variant: A5_DWG India, Kitkat Stock rooted.

Steps I did:

1) Did a full data wipe. But still issue persists.

2) Restored the back up of my stock ROM but still no go.

I request all experts to guide me fix this problem.

Exclamation point next to cellular signal cm12.1

Recently I have been having this issue. I have reflashed my ROM and even then this issue will eventually occur. When it happens. I can only fix it temporarily (via clearing dalvik/cache) and by going into mobile settings and clicking on the already selected access point name. After I do any of these, the next time I reboot, the exclamation point comes back. Please help me!

Things to note:
-I flashed the stock 24B modem so cm updates work
-Adaway is active
-Xposed 5.1 installed
-HTC one M9 camera flashed

Poor signal

Do you guys have poor data coverage with your LG G3s? I don't know what it is with these new phones, my Thunderbolt used to have LTE almost everywhere I went, and when I lost it, 3G picked up instantly so I almost never lost mobile data. The phone I just switched from, a Samsung Note 3, and now the LG G3 seem to have terrible data. It barely picks up any LTE signal, and constantly drops to 3G and then loses data all together, then when I lose data, I need to turn off mobile data and turn it back on again. Is this a bug with lollipop? I am currently running Jasmine 8.0 on my G3 and was completely stock on the Note 3 no root nothing running Lollipop 5.0.

Getting true signal icons?

we all know T-Mobile BS's about their signal. You can get the true icons and bars on a note 4 with AOSP ROM but I'm curious if it's possible to get the true icons and bars with touchwiz. :confused:

Installed a new rom to update me to Lollipop this is the last one I tried

I have no settings for Mobile Networks even to do a Manuel search and no 4G setting on the menu.
I cant call or text instead of a phone symbol at the top there is just a triangle.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get me back up and running.

it's doesn't recognize my cellular network and yes the sim is in the right direction because i didn't had signal only after i've downgraded.

S6 signal strength not displayed right, CDMA to GSM LTE unlock

Ok, so I bought a Sm-g920r4 from uscell, upgraded to 5.1.1 and then flashed this lil bit of awesomeness found here....http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...ernel-t3100395 and proceeded to modify the CSC and build.prop files using blind luck and intuition... ( csc expert and kernel auditor ) and have unlocked the phone completely. Now it's on T-Mobile everything works except.... When its in 4GLTE it does not display the signal strength in the notifications bar properly. It does however show the proper values in Network Signal Info app.
(Added lteongsmdevice=1 along with a bunch of other mods to unlock all menus and set rssi to gms for quickpanel)

[Q] No cell signal after odin. No S voice via hardware button either

So this issue is testing my sanity and understanding. I was on a custom rom, rooted with OF3. I wanted to ODIN back to stock, flashing all 4 files (OCE).

Everything works successfully, except when the phone boots up I won't have a cellular signal until I update to OF3, which means rooting again with pingpong, loading Flashfire, flashing the of3 zip and then the modem and boot file. After that, signal is back. But why?? Does ODIN not hit every bit of memory on the phone?

Which takes me to my next question. S Voice is missing an option to open via home key. This is true after ODIN, going into recovery and wiping cache partition, loading up cleanrom etc. Long pressing home key only will open google now. If i disable that, nothing happens. If I use a program to map s voice to the hardware button, nothing happens. So it feels like something just isn't quite right.

Anyone have any insights or ideas?

PS- I also tried the option to do a NAND erase with ODIN and "factory data reset' in recovery too. Same signal issue until OF3 update and s voice + home key option missing.
