Nexus 7 magnetic car mount options

I currently have a pro clip car mount that I was using daily with my Nexus 6. I was doing some reading today and figured that I should wipe off my dusty Nexus 7 and put it to good use. I was thinking about using the stock proclip mounting base that I have and attaching a magnetic car mount for my Nexus 7. Does anyone have any experience using magnetic mounts with their Nexus 7? What advice or products would you recommend? Did anyone have issues with the size and weight of the Nexus 7 causing issues with keeping it stable?
