No lte only 4g

I bought a T-Mobile galaxy s5 the person told me that he got a new imei number whatever that means . but now I have simple mobile 4g lte plan everything works fine but I don't have the lte display next to my 4g . so the question is would I be able to get 4g lte. Or I can't because I have a new imei thing . please help
