zenfone 2 battery drain issue..HELP techies

will rooting my zenfone 2 improves my battery performance .??
.its draining like hell. android OS eats the major part of it
my phone is just 1 week older . and such a poor back up i m dealing with.
reply fast as i m planning to switch to samsung again..
